Sutff going through my head...

On sunday I woke up just "dead homesick". I started thinking about what my family does on sundays, go to church together then go home and my brother comes over and sometimes my stepsister and of'course Maria and Roggi and my little 8 grader sister is there. And I missed them all so much, I wished we had extended family stuff that day. I was missing my mom so much that I wanted to just sit down and cry all day. Then she called me and I started telling her how I wished I could have been there for church and dinner and she says, " me and your dad actually had dinner alone after feeding 5 soccer girls (my sister and her friends). ANd we didnt end up going to church. So you know at least that sunday I didn't miss out on anything.

School is starting again. Everyone is talking about it, you can feel the excitement in the air. I have had my doubts about our Homeschooling decision but after a week and a day of doing it (well official kindergarten) I feel very safe and secure in our decision. I love the curriculum we choose. I can include all three kids in some of the reading since it requers a lot of reading on my behalf and it is great. Agusta loves it. We have had to do some modifications and are waiting just a little with the language arts ( since I think suffix is a little too advanced for Agusta right now) but that is what I enjoy with homeschooling that we can work as fast or as slow as my students can handle.

Already the first week we learned about Martin Luther and William Tyndale and were Rome is. We have touched on north, south, west and east. but desided to wait a little with that until we master Left And Right!!! Agusta was in on that desiscion. "mom I dont know really were my left hand is so how can I understand that west thing"!!! Smart little girl!!!

Anyway, last week was not easy, and I know this is not an easy one... I believe it is the right choice for us and I trust that My Lord wouldn't put that on my heart unless it were.

After re'reading over this I see I should take an English spelling class be'cause I know there are some bad mistakes.... maybe I can do Homeschooling as well!!!?

Toilet Flushings.....

Just a couple of months after we moved into our Vegas house Agusta put rocks into the downstairs toilet she didnt get to flush them down which we were really thankful for. Well tonight after coming home from church I went to the bathroom and my little Cheerleader Kala came with me. She is really into the whole toilet thing, she is really proud of her mommy not peeing in her pants and gives me big claps and "DUGLEG STELPA". WEll in the excitement she desides to flush the toilet and drops a PASSIFIER into the bathroom and it flushes right down.....!!!!
WE are not sure if this will leave a permanent damage...!!But can not get it out.... I will keep you posted!!!

My Big Girl...

My sweet little daughter or I should say my BIG GIRL has two tooth loose. It is so strange experiencing that. I still remember when my first tooth fell out so I cant be that old!!!...
She went to the dentist yesterday and had no cavities again. I am so proud of her. And she already has 2 permanent molars in. It is just amasing how time flies. She is very excited she said, "mom, now I have loose teeth like my good friend Victoria". I really Cant wait to show this to all my big kid friends!!! She is so cute. So all the calls have been made to her grandparents in Florida and Iceland, everyone has to hear the good news. It brought back memories, at least for Amma Agusta. She said that I lost my first tooth at the same age. Wow only 23 years ago. It is amasing to watch those kids grow up. Even though Agusta has told me again and again that she is never going to grow up. We'll see... I look forward to watch her grow and see what kind of young woman she will become, that is if she doesn't fly to Neverland with Peter Pan.....for the purpose of staying a kid forever....

Why I shouldn't Complain....

A couple of posts ago I complained about my husbands thowel issue! I know he read that blog because he is still in town but the thowel does not hang on the shower pole anymore. You might think thats a good thing...well, shortly after I blogged that he came home announcing another deployment coming up and much sooner than scheduled. And now I wonder if that was all because of my towel complaining.... well I know it isnt but I learned a little lesson there.. "you dont know how good you have it and then you complain about it, and then The Airforce steps in and says I will fix your problem and send him off again"...
Right now I wish the Airforce would just leave us alone. But I have to remember like my father-in-law said today, "we are at war" "and it's hard too remember that sometimes". He is right, there are times that just slips out of my head. Honey if you read this put the damn thowel back on the Shower Pole!!!....
